I'll only tackle his "main" albums this decade, best to worst.
1. Lotus Flow3r 2. MPLSound 3. The Rainbow Children 4. Musicology 5. Planet Earth 6. 3121 Musicology and TRC frequently swap places depending on how tolerant I am of the Darth Jehova voice on a day to day basis. I've seen the future, and boy it's rough...

no. i like them both very much. i really don't understand all the love that 3121 gets. 3121 is very consistent, no real low point, but feels like auto-pilot--this decade's D&P. Looking back, this decade made the 90s look pretty good.

Okay, y'all made me go back and listen to Musicology and Planet Earth, which I haven't done much of the past couple years. So thanks for that. I'd forgotten how solid they were. Planet Earth started out at 7 or 8...then I played it, lol. This ended up a lot harder than I thought it'd be...MPLsound isn't bad to me, but I couldn't put it ahead of ONA or Chocolate Invasion.
1. 3121 - Black Sweat & Lolita, among his funkiest deliveries. Incense and Candles(!), even The Word is on point 2. Lotusflow3r - and rising... $, Boom, Dreamer may end up as all-timers for me. Nice diversity of sounds...with the right videos, there are multiple mid-level hits here. 3. Rainbow Children - how many people liked this when it debuted? show of hands?? liars. 4. Planet Earth (stop dissing 'Mr. Goodnight' and 'Future Baby Mama'! This is Prince, dammit... not friggin Radiohead!!!) 5. Musicology - 6. Slaughterhouse - 7. Chocolate Invasion 8. MPLsound - Heyyyy Valentina! 9. One Night Alone 10. NEWS 11. C-Note 12. Xpectation Fans of a lot of artists would cream if their fave had released as much solid material over a decade. I feel lucky...and grateful. ********************************************

no. i like them both very much. i really don't understand all the love that 3121 gets. I just think it's his best set of songs. It does the best job of any album this decade of combining Prince the songwriter, Prince the showman, and Prince the cohesive album-artist. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! I'm with ya on the Musicology appreciation, even if I don't think it 'wins,' I do think it's a really good album. And Planet Earth isn't horrible, but I do think it suffers from feeling 'slight' in terms of music, lyrics, and theme. I've seen the future, and boy it's rough...
