Crackling sound on Mplssound and Lotus Flow3r? Does anyone else have a sort of crackling on some of these tracks (the Target version)? It's like the sound you'd get if you were using Sound Forge and turned the volume up too loud and in the louder sections of the songs it distorts. I'd have to listen to the discs again to find specific instances of this happening. The only one I remember offhand is Feel Good, Feel Better, Feel Wonderful. Esp. in the part where Prince sort of talks. But I know it happens at least twice on Mplssound, as well.

You'll find the same thing on just about every Prince CD of the past years. It's called the "loudness war", and Prince apparently loves it that his music sounds like crap. © Bart Van Hemelen

I have heard it too, but so far only in Feel Better, Feel Good, Feel Wonderful. I haven't opened the physical CD yet, I'm listening to the downloaded WAVs. Glad I'm not the only one who is hearing it.
