The Divine

I guess it was too good 2 release

I bet it really good

Prince shows off a different side for '21 Nights'
http://www.usatoday .com/life/ books/news/ 2008-09-25- prince-21- nights_N. htm?csp=34

By Edna Gundersen, USA TODAY

Right now, he's cranking newly crafted funk-pop-psychedeli c wonders Boom, Forever and Dreamer, an ode to Martin Luther King Jr. inspired by discussions with Dick Gregory. He declines to play The Divine, a song so "mind-blowing" he doubts he'll ever release it. "The minute the harmonies hit, I put it away," he says.

On a love song, his voice takes on yearning as he pines for the feel of a lover's lips and the move of her hips. "That's what happens with years of celibacy," says Prince, survivor of two broken marriages. "It all goes into the music." He pauses. "This time, it has to be the right person."

More Prince hype. A song that's just too good for us mortals.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

I don't know, all I can go by is what he said about it

lol

We have to remember, Emancipation was "the album Prince was born to make"lol
A great album, in my opinion, but something above and beyond others he had released? nah. Just hype.

I'm sure "The Divine" is probably really good. But we're not going to get seizures from listening to it's intricately crafted chords or shit like that lol

Exactly. lol Prince has been saying silly, unfounded comments like this since the 80's. It's all good fun and drives the fanatics crazy but it's just hype.

Maybe he's hedging his bets a little too... if a particular album is a letdown, fans can always point to the songs P held back because they were "too good". lol

I would have loved to have heard Janet Jackson give an excuse like this for cancelling her lackluster sales concerts.

Yeah, one just walked in the door. Fanatic here biggrin

It's called sex with Eros... climaxing through the heart, spiritual ejaculation.

The next time you are about to have an orgasm, try raising it from the low to a Higher Place! It takes a lot of discipline; celibacy being one of them!

Some refer to it as Kundalina; some say snake; the Nubians, Uraeus; others Holy Spirit; one and the same. For those who have been awakened to it... your Life will never ever be the same. It's Pure Atmic smile

The Emancipation thnig...I always read that as a fun thing - it was marketed as the album "prince" was born to make, which, when you think about the arguments against Warners Bros and the whole slave thing, was probably true - he changed his name to get free of his contracts. So Prince gave birth to prince to release his music as he saw fit.

I don't think he was suggesting it was the album he was put on this earth to make.
