So how is everyone sequencing Lotusflow3r?

with the targer version and the site version having different tracks 3's and both start with the end of boom, how are all of u sequencing the album? crimson & clover before the morning after? or the other way around?

there really isn't a good way to do Crimson & Clover *after* the Morning After, since the segue from Boom is much more inseperable on the CD version (though i'm not really thrilled with the smoothness of it).

you can pretty much edit out the millisecond of Boom that crosses over into the Morning After by editing the wav file.

so i've put the Morning After after C&C.

No need to edit the wav file if you're using iTunes, you can right click on the song, and chose "Get Info". Go to the Options tab, and you can set the Start Time. Click OK, then play the song to see how well the time change was. Adjust from there.

I actually edited the end of "Another Like Me" and "Chocolate Box", because they were a tad too long. No clue where I will put "Morning After" yet.

well, yes, that's true. but for me it's easier to edit a wav file than to figure out how many fractions of a second i need to chop off the front of an m4a to remove every bit of Boom I can without sacrificing any of The Morning After

Oh cool. Glad it worked for you. I just posted a separate thing about TMA after C&C and the Start Time setting on TMA.

I've left it as in the download version and have C&C as a 'bonus' track after Back To The Lotus. As much as I love C&C, I prefer the way The Morning After sits with the flow of the album.

I was influenced by his earlier release of the first few songs. So I put Crimson and Clover first, then Colonized Mind, then I think 4ever and then Wall of Berlin. The I have the rest of the track in order like they are on the album.

Ok, so here's how I will be sequencing it later on today. Using Audacity, the wave files, and the rip of Crimson and Clover from my copy of Lotusflow3r, I will do the following.

From the Lotus... stays as it is

Use the first guitar strum from "Boom" and the ambience sounds accompanying it
allow for enough of a count and then begin Crimson and Clover.
When that trick finishes, immediately start Boom again, with the guitar strumming. It works, sounds nice, and gives a "guitar theme" to those tracks. I use the boom version from the download, though, as it flows into "The Morning After" much better than it would ever with Crimson and Clover.

10. No More Candy 4 U
11. Better W/ Time
12. Boom
13. Never b another like me
14. Dreamer
15. 4ever
16 Walls for Berlin

It did come out well. Started the CD with From the Lotus..., used the first guitar strum from Boom and started up with Crimson and Clover. That track seques into the ambience sounds right after the first guitar strum of boom, then Boom starts up and plays out to the Morning After. The next track continues with 4ever and continues like normal from there. It actually sounds nice.
