As good as this was, I think that it came out at the time when people had lost a lot of interest in Prince. I seem to remember it getting a bit of play on MTV at the time (it came out when MTV played music).

It's in my top 5 favorite songs of all time without a doubt. Seeing him perform it on the acoustic guitar was definitely one of the highlights of the Musicology Tour for me.
