First of all, I'm annoyed by that "Pr1nce" thing. disbelief lol

Didn't one of the other reviews say that there is no Prince falsetto on any of the CDs? The Doctor says the first song on Lotusflow3r is sung in it lol

Wait a second, "The Morning After"?

Different versions of the record? This is a new development, no?

Yes that's because she's an idiot as I told her directly on the comments section if her blog...she was also the one who used the term "elevator music" to describe LotusFlow3r mad

But of course. There must be some ways to try and get folk like me, who only care about the music and could care less about videos on a site to shell out the $77 rather than just wait for the $12 Target set.

Funkenberry also mentions a song "Here" to be on the MPLSoUND album... And "No More Candy 4 U" is a hidden track... Seems there'll be some differences between the digital and the physical release.

In true Prince form, you've been taken to the cleaners and you don't even know your pants are off.

That's the first thing I've read on that site that was coherent. Less a review, more track by track impressions. Good read.

I don't think they are very positive. This guy can hardly describe the music and seems stuck to the lyrics.

I like those reviews, they certainly whet my appetite. I also dig the lyrics very much! I have a very good feeling about this and and even better feeling about MPLSound, because I was worried it would be something for certain "moods" only. I think it will deserve better treatment than that! biggrin

Hidden Track??? No More Candy 4 U

We were not able to listen to this one but here is a snippet of some interesting lyrics:

2 all the haterz on the Internet/Somebody’s looking at u/No more candy 4 u/They got ur number now, fool/2 all the suckerz winning anything and thanking the Lord 4 what they do/No more candy 4 u

Well that must be HQ or Prince.org or YouTube or .....man there's too many... lol

well let's wait and see what the site contains. i don't want to buy physical
copies of the albums if i've already got downloads with liner notes on the
site. so i hope we'll also be able to download (for a bit more $) those xtra
tracks.

or perhaps they'll simply all be on the download version. nod

damnit, this news is making me want to stay up tonight lol

wo tracks not mentioned before.

The Morning After on Lotusflow3r and Here on MPLSound.

I can't wait less than 9 hours now.

These had better be there to download today/tomorrow.

This is especially the case with Bria's CD. Even Dr. FB going to great pains to be positive about all things Prince, has reached his limit in describing Bria's Elixer...

"OK track"

"In all honesty, I just don’t know because it’s not working to her best advantages"

"might just hit the forward button to the next track"

"It’s missing something"

"not so sure I am digging this song too much"

"nothing spectacular"

"It’s not bad but it is not infectious either"

When someone such as Doc FB--who has been criticized heavily for being a mouthpiece for Prince's PR machine--has to struggle to say good things about this CD, that says something.
"That...magic, the start of something revolutionary-the Minneapolis Sound, we should cherish it and not punish prince for not being able to replicate it."-Dreamshaman32

I'm wondering what the file formats would be. In this day and age if Prince is thinking of using DRM wma, he can keep it. Lossless or bust.
