It's always been amazing to me that such a musical genius could occupy and fill is time and energy into these damn bimbos who have nothing to offer. At least Vanity sang about her twat but really, the talentless lineup should have ended there. Are people satisfied that Prince's first opus since Emancipation contains an album of someone else's filler? Is Prince really that out of ideas and emotional commitment that he couldn't fill a third disc with more music? Wendy and Lisa couldn't sing for shit, but at least they were talented musicians. I did. Her album was a solid R&B album with some great songs... with a live band sound (reminded me of Mint Condition style R&B). Sunday in the Park, Red Head Stepchild, Milk & Honey, All I Want Is You... all great tracks for a new artist. She wasn't the greatest singer in the world, but she could hold her own... and seemed to have enough stage presence on her own even with Prince as a sideman. It's really a shame that her album got shelved. i don't mind that much. i like all the protege albums. they're good to clean
the house to or to listen to when you're mindlessly surfing the web and just need some nice bg music. the chicks are not to blame. prince is. we'll probably never know exactly why he keeps doing this over and over and over again. but no doubt people will be all up in bria's ass once the cd is released on the 24th. complaining about how she can't sing and how the songs suck, lol. damn people what did you expect, he married mayte and even her album's got only 3 good songs. it was released like a side dish. i think he lost all interest in it even quicker than usual. rehashed old tunes and a cover. zzzz. so what makes anyone think he will go out and do better for a piece of ass he's already tapped and doesn't plan on getting hitched to? i wonder why tamar disappeared tho. would it be because she didn't put out or because she wanted to and prince was momentarily stuck so far down the JW pipeline that he sent her packing? and true love lives on lollipops and crisps | |
