I have to say this...
I just did some research on Prince and I found a few links to media sites where Prince says "GOD HATES GAYS". and you know what??? I am doing a VLOG tomorrow for www.80sInYourFace.com and I am going to say how I feel about this.

I am gay and also a long time fan of Prince.
I have been promoting the new album and will be promoting the 25th Anniversary of "Purple Rain", but I have to say. I am NO LONGER a PRINCE FAN

Watch me break Prince records and Cds on video as I speak my mind about this whole thing on a VLOG tomorrow. It seriously sickens me!

prince has never said "god hates gays".

he made a very vague remark in a new yorker article that has been taken out of context and blown up in all kinds of different ways, and while it may not be completely undeserved on prince's part (see where making vague statements on volatile topics will get you?), i think a lot of people have blown his words completely out of proportion.

furthermore, not long after the new yorker article was published, he spoke further about the quote with ann powers in her LA times story and made it clear that he was no homophobe. well, as clear as prince can make ANYthing.

but yeah, no. prince has never literally said "GOD HATES GAYS."

That's it! IM NO LONGER A 80s InYourFace.com fan. I really don't agree with the way you spelled stomach and its time someone took a stand.

Well I'm gay and I don't really give a fuck what Prince or anyone else thinks anyway - he was misquoted in the interview so let's just move on.

Prince would be surrounded by gays and lesbians anyway in the music industry.

That info is old and in-accurate.
What he said was he believes what the bible says about homosexuality.
However he loves all people and even has gay friends.

Don't go starting trouble, especially when you have'nt done your research thoroughly and completely.

Ok. I have made a decision.
I will not be ranting about this.
I do not want to be the "Perez Hilton" of the 80s revival.
I am about supporting and promoting the artists of the 80s.
So I will leave this alone.
