What Prince Songz are U emotionally attached 2? We as fans can Love Prince Songs for a variety of reasons. The music may have a nostalgic feeling like, "Little Red Corvette," that brings you back to an earlier time when MTV was new and exciting musically.
A song like, "Baby," can always bring a tear to me, even to this day. I was having marriage trouble at the time when "Gold," came out and although Prince's voice was always comforting...I listened to it less often over the years. The song, "Blue Light," always warms me in a strange winter way and I have always felt very emotionally attached to that song. I used to picture Prince sitting on an airplane and looking over an airway strip at an airport, strangely whenever I hear that song, I always think of Prince on a plane. This song to me is very heart warming and romantic which I love especially when I think of how life can really saturate the world with more sex than they do love and romance. I love the sexual stimulation that music can give U, however I deeply appreciate the sweeter side of those kind of sexy songs....anyway... What Prince songs move U emotionally because of your personal life? "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

Pop Life
When I first heard this back in 85, the feel was intimate. The whole album 2 me was intimate but this song came across as personal about Prince. Having just experienced the Purpe Rain himself and being jousted to such stardom, this is a song that felt like Prince with a few friend at his house reflecting. I left the Prince world for some years and it was this song being performed on One Nigh Alone that pulled me back in. Condition of the Heart I can listen 2 this song all the way thru all the time, I love the piano sounds and the tweaky synth, the music and the way the words are sung just touch me Power Fantastic What can I say, the electricity of this song, a full revolution studio number, this song represents that unmatched chemestry of Prince and the Revolution. When I first heard this I played it over and over and over. It's a bitter sweet song/connection 2 me [Edited 3/13/09 7:42am]

The Christ Blue Light Holy River Days Of Wild I Rock, Therefore I Am Sarah (Well, Ya Know) Prince's Sarah "Sarah," is one of my favorite Prince songz to dance 2...and I was reading the dictionary one day and came across a word, (Litotes) which means a figure of speech which expresses a strong affirmative, by using the negative of its contrary...as the phrase, "not a few." When I read that definition the first thing that came to my mind was that Prince uses a litotes in the song "Sarah," when he sings..."That skirt ain't talkin' too long." The Dance.
I hate that I associate it with my father's brief illness and death because it is a beautiful song. I knew it would happen because I was listening to this song on repeat while commuting back and forth to my dad's hospital. "Remember, one man's filler is another man's killer" -- Haystack

For me there are two songs that always get me.
About 15 years ago one of my friends, who was my Prince partner in crime and funk brother died suddenly in a car crash. The obvious effect it had on me made me question a lot of things and delve more into music. The songs of P's that most spoke to me at that time were "Still Could Stand All Time" (especially the final restrains of "you gotta run to the light, leave your past behind, all things will be fine..." and "Sometimes it snows in April". To these days when I hear these songs I get to really connect with the music and feel my friend around me. Swa "I'm not human I'm a dove, I'm ur conscience. I am love"

,,,I am attached to too many. His music is the soundtrack of my life from age 11 through today at 41.
A few standouts would be... God (instrumental) - As an easily influenced teenager I was fascinated by Prince and anything to do with him. An aside for the younger orgers: God (inst.) is the love theme to Purple Rain. What it isn't is an instrumental version of the song God. Make any sense? Some may have heard the vocal version of God and thought that God instrumental would be just that, the same song without vocals. God Instrumental is actually a nearly eight-minute jazz suite of Prince on guitar, drums (I think), and who knows what else? It is sexy and funky! Anywho... I would have that song on all my slow groove tapes - which I emotionally associate with my burgeoning lovelife at then age 16. The Dance - Temptation captured in song. Honest to the bone. The Exodus has Begun - NPG ...I had anger in my life in 1995 when this song hit. It has never ceased to touch something in me when I hear it. U that have scorned and held back the inevitable Must now come 2 grips with the truth All that is good in the eyes of heaven Will rebuke your powder monkey ways Have mercy!

I know that U love them all...yet U have to admit that there's got to be a few songs that really stir U emotionally... I should mention something strange that I have caught on video tape... I was playing "Slow Love," at the time I was video recording my bedroom of a house I would be moving from...and I opened my closet door... I had a mobile hanging in there that I had made, along with some cheap plastic rain beads hanging in the doorway.... As I was taping, I caught energy field vibration on tape...I was completely still and faintly the beads began to sway slightly and a raindrop began vibrating...I then focused on a small peace sign that hung at the bottom of the mobile that was made out of a small "roscolux, lighting gel." and it began to sway... I have it on tape.... "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...
