He extends O2 run... by Jason Gregory Wednesday, March 11, 2009 Photo by: WENN.com More Michael Jackson Michael Jackson has extended his summer residency at London's O2 Arena to twenty-three shows. The total, which could still rise, is two more than Prince's run at the same venue two years ago. Jackson had initially only announced details of ten concerts, but high demand has forced promoters to add more. Pre-sale tickets for the new dates are available now for fans who received a pre-registration code from organisers. Over a million people have registered for the chance to buy tickets to the concerts, which will be Jackson's “final curtain call” in London. Jackson, now 50, has not performed a full concert since he was cleared of child molestation charges in 2005. His last full tour, entitled HIStory, took place in 1996 and '97. In total, the singer is expected to earn upwards of $400m for his comeback, which also includes a 3D film deal.
