I don't think anyone knows. Was any Planet Earth song officially sent to US radio, or some stations just picked a few songs and played them?

(and they also insist on charging sales tax to non-exempt organizations and then the organization has to request refunds--when they shouldn't even being taxed in the first place.) hate.the.amazon.com Yours sounds like an isolated incident. I order from Amazon all the time and have never had any problems. In fact, I can't even remember the last time I went to Borders or Barnes & Noble. I order books & music, and recently I ordered boots. One time, I even had a problem with one of the vendors in the Marketplace and got a prompt response from Amazon. But that is neither here nor there in this case, because I live down the street from a Target store. "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. Thanks for the info. I was a little worried once it was announced he'd be selling the albums through Target but they weren't listed on the website.

I have been shopping at Amazon.com for years without incident. I buy all of my books there, and toys for my nephews. I even bought a leather tote bag for my new macbook, that was delivered in two days. I highly recommend them. "It's hard 4 me 2 say what's right when all I want to do is wrong..."

Makes me laugh how Prince is always banging on about people making money off his back out of his 'product'.... if he doesn't sort out a decent distribution chain for this album outside the US, people will just get it from Bit Torrent in these regions and he will get no money.... Pirate Bay anyone ? [Edited 3/8/09 13:26pm]

Does anyone really think that these cd's will not be sold to Europeans? Prince will not risk the wrath of an extremely vocal fan base. "It's hard 4 me 2 say what's right when all I want to do is wrong..."

As last year AC/DC Guns N Roses both released their albums through these kind of stores and in the uk they were available normally, so expecting for these cd's to be in HMV or even Tesco or Sainsbury's, hopefully on the day of the release.

That's what I thought as well, but it's way more fun to panic and get all wound up because they might not get released here. Then again, they might not get released here!

I think it is ethically OK to download the audio if you cannot get it locally. But maybe are waiting for your CD set arriving via the mail... It's still the same thing: he's speaking about beging #1 at the bank etc and others profiting off of him but he doesn't see the biggest of moneymaking opportunities: - Decent distribution for his releases - Release *full* live shows without overdubs etc, So I ain't saying his deals are unwise but from the fan's perspective there's room for improvement. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

[Edited 3/8/09 13:26pm] @ Pirate Bay! Those guys has been in a trial for 9 days recently! We will know what happends to them on april 17. Here in Sweden we also get a new law about down/uploading torrents on the net in april. With possibilites for the "authority" to check out any private computer they like, without the persons knowledge... So, this is probably the reason why Prince wont release his CD-set internationally, though he soon can put everyone who download his music for free, in jail first... I'm sure it's Prince who's the brain behind all this, and probably even the new "authority"... [Edited 3/9/09 5:33am]

Anxiety said: The Target web site has a pre-order page for Prince's new 3CD set:
http://www.target.com/Pri...B001TI3IB0 Order now and you'll have the whole shebang delivered to your doorstep as soon as the album is released! (or, the day after, since the album's gonna be released on a Sunday...I'm not quite sure how that'll work) So for those of you who aren't near a Target and want a physical copy of the album in your hot, sweaty purple paws - this may be the next best thing to visiting the giant red bullseye. Many thanks to PurpleSurfeit for this tip. Well, it looks like that you can pre-order the cd only if you have an address in the USA... Did not work for me, sitting over here in Europe...

I'm sure it's Prince who's the brain behind all this, and probably even the new "authority" A suspect is not yet a convict. Still if they are convicted there might be discepancies with Swedish law due to the **AA (i.e. RIAA/MPAA/IFPI etc) pressure from the USA *government*. So yes, the american government puts pressure onto other countries if stuff happens that their lobhyists don't like. Is one simple case of a swedish record firm affiliate against Pirate Bay not enough? No, they took a different route. So yes, this again is USA policing the world, it still continues when they are broke. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... So it is official then, good. Well one thing about living in Phoenix is there is not a terribly large Prince fan base here,so I will not have to camp outside of Target to get a copy . Other than in this case, it is very sad that not very many Phoenix peeps really dig Prince... When I moved here in 98' I found this out, usually when I talk about Prince I get asked "who??" or get blank looks...
Maybe I should move back to Cali,I am practically next door, my heart is aching for it, I miss it so much...

I hear you on that, I just moved this weekend to a new house, into a nice neighborhood, funny thing is it is only about 5-6 blocks from where I was living last week, but the neighborhood is so different. The old place I was living I felt the same way, I didn't even think I would get my mail, it was the hood, people were breaking into the apartments, I heard gun shots in the night several times, which made me start praying to God that no one was hurt. In Phoenix it's like that, depends on what block you live on, at least here on the west side, the east side is where to money's at, not much happens in those neighborhoods really, I used to live on the east side, I miss the quitness over there, but this new neighborhood is quite to so, it's cool.
