Yo, I was watching some videoes about the occult and hiphop on youtube. One of them pretty said that 2pac was killed because he refused to be a part of the occult. After learning that, Im convinced there's a reason that he called his last album "Killumanti". 2pac was killed in Las Vegas and we all know there's plenty of Illumanti symbolism in Vegas such as Luxor hotel, which is exactly where 2pac was staying when he was in Vegas!!!!

This is a nice theory about what "Darling Nikki" REALLY is about! To be a bit more serious: I think those 'occult' references showing up in Princes lyrics are simply reflecting his interests in religion, philosophy and spirituality. Often he doesnt succeed to express this interest in his lyrics in a very convincing way, it all comes over rather cryptic and sometimes even misplaced, but in the end it is nothing more then him taking bits and pieces he thinks he can relate to, and incorporating them in his lyrics, which still show the traditional 'catholic guilt' he began with in 1978. | |
