One of the ladies at my job [who, coincidentially is a major Prince fan] sent me this. Please tell me what ya'll think:

WANT TO KNOW THE ORIGIN AND MEANING OF THE PRINCE SYMBOL??? READ ON.....

I used to have this animation on my page that breaks down the meaning or parts of the symbol..showing it as being the male/female or (anhk) and the egyptian eye ( Udjat) and then i saw this site.....with the symbols.
while on the site i remembered his ear cuff with the moon and star (diana and lucifer) and found it here too....

the other things that struck me while on this site too, was his face on the cd for the rainbow children being distorted to the the shape of the goat in
the baphomet a satanic symbol....i put them right next to eachother and its very clear that was the meaning of him distorting his face on the cd to this shape.

so then i started to seek further for information (although this wouldof been enoughfor me to not want to have thissymbol in my possesion at all from this point in what i saw, but i still wanted to have a stronger foundation in knowledge and about it all being
true. so a member of a prince yahoo group lead me here..in explanation of the origin of the symbol

this very clearly shows that part of his symbol is the soapstone shown on this
site originating as a symbol in alchemy , this with the ankh makes up the symbol.

i needed to know what soapstone meant, and stood for because just knowing that it was soapstone was not enough

so then i searched for soapstone/symbols and the only thing i could come up
with was alot of witchcraft/demonic sites ...seems they use alot of soapstone for various things, as if it has some meaning to them as well..then i stumbled on this....

the most important part of this site to me being this paragraph (the meaning of the soapstone)
because that is what i need to know the origin of this symbol
and its meaning.

Now if you are a believer in the Lord , and the Bible, do i need to tell you what crossing the veil of

key is it CLEARLY states in the Bible we are not to seek any other
dimensions!!! OF ANY KIND.

did you know there was a religion called the Golden dawn?? Im wondering if that might be why he says may you live to see the dawn?? welcome to the dawn, playground for the new power generation???? and the whole Gold ablum, etc...too many coincidences to be a coincidence to me. prince is far too calculated to not know what he is doing. there are many many questionable things about him, heard in his music etc, far too much to put on this page though. all peices of a puzzle that when you put them all together all point in the same direction. despite all the other confusing stuff that seems "good" these things should be kept in mind . God does not bring confusion.

they believe is true for them. decide for yourselves. I personally have made the decision to have nothing to do with this symbol, i will not have it in my possesion at all whatsoever. I dont want anything in my possession or home that represents crossing the veil to other demensions.

by the way just for your futher information. this soapstone is also knownas the philosphers stone, or the sorcerer`s stone of "harry potter" which is clearly about witchcraft/sorcery etc

its not my place to judge where he was, or is, or will be in his heart with God, but i did want to know the meaning and origin of the symbol and i found it.

I enjoyed reading this LayLow03 ... because it reminded me of my youth.

YOu don't know how many symbol/interpretation/withcraft books I checked out of the library to study Prince album covers and lyrics.

I was in the middle school and high school and analyzed everything Prince, from the hand over the heart for Lovesexy to the words on the Purple Rain vinyl album cover to just what he meant by saying "May you Live to See the Dawn." Even Purple banana was intriguing.

And remember the Thieves in the Temple video, when PRince would spin and briefly stretch his arms out in the form of a cross. My friend Rodney and I debated that for weeks. He said PRince was evil. And about Lovesexy, Rodney said Anna Stesia was about Prince conjuring spirits and dancing with ghosts and that when he sings "save me jesus I've been a fool ... from now on on you I shall be wild." Rodney said the lustful way he sang "wild" showed PRince was really mocking Jesus. Man, that prince was a whole mystery world for me to decipher.

I was so scared one time, I had to start sleeping with a cross under my pillow (7th grade ... Prince Rain era of symbols)


I am not making fun of this thread. I am enthralled because it reminds me of the old fun I used to have by studying the mysticism of Prince.


As far as the links ... the last one ... with the symbol that includes the horn ... that's something I had never seen before. It certainly would seem beyond coincidence that Prince could come up with something so similar. (Maybe he is trying to tell us something!)

Although that symbol, thankfully, wasn't Satanic .. just about wanting to transcend your lower self and become "gold." This certainly parallels some PRince themes.

I like that interpretation. Whether PRince is that deep now ... I doubt it. I used to think he was really deep and had this interesting Bible of phrases and themes that gave us the dawn and the new breed and the ideas of revolution. But now he's changing lyrics and dismantling the 'Prince bible' (calling the RB children the new breed!!) and I almost forgot how much fun all that interpretation was.

This new album doesn't even have anything to interpret. So, thanks for the memories.

Prince- Satanic no.BUT!!!!! I gotta story to tell. Teri Copley the former wife of Micki Free and now born again christian gave me several accounts of her dealings with Prince. I'm quoting her by saying "He's evil".Many stories about Prince during the China Club days that would make all the hardcore fans do an about face.But I had a conversation with her around the time that Prince and Mayte lost their child and I asked her what she thought about it.Quoting her, she said that "Prince has demons in his family". And she wasn't talking about demons as in the exorcist etc... She was talking about family blood lines that go back thousands and thousands of years where they are traceable to evil doers throughout history.She said that baby was an abomination and that God would not it walk the earth, hence if Prince would have let it live his "secret" would have been out. There's more but I'll have to get back at y'all.

From my studies I've read the son of the Anti Christ would be of European decent. So if the son of the Anti Christ was here, he'd be somewhere in Rome. Something to think about it.

personally i live in England and our attitude towards satanists (along with gays, drugs, and black people) is much more of a 'so what?' kind of argument... personally i don't care enough about god to be bothered with satan and if prince likes all that then fair play to him.

What if all the american people stopped bothering about religion? do you think they might stop shooting each other aswell then??? WOAH... radical thought there...

hey, i think prince is aware of enough spiritual things for at least half of that stuff to not be coincidence. now, what his intentions were and what we read into it could be two different things. but, honestly, i think they are all valid questions. after all, he proclaims to be a jehovah's witness but he doesn't really represent himself as one...i mean, i heard him saying some nasty things at his shows.

my suggestion is to listen to the music and lyrics and not worry about the other stuff.
