December 1984, St.Paul Civic Center

I was 16, I went by myself (had to ride a bus four hours to the Cities) and it was my very first rock concert ever as well as the first time I ever saw Prince in concert. It was fantastic! love

December '84...Rosemont Horizon.

I wore black leather pants, purple suede and snakeskin boots, and a purple angora sweater. A friend and I drove down from Madison, in driving rain with about a gazillion semis on the road. I was scared to death we wouldn't make it alive.

And we drove back to Madison after the show. Fortunately, the rain had stopped by then.

I barely remember the concert...but I remember everything around it. rolleyes

Feb.1,1985 New Orleans, La.Superdome. Time of my young life!!(then 17 y.o.)
Was on probation,(for doing something totally stupid) and confined to my room.
Jumped out of my 2nd story bedroom window, Twisted my ankle. Met my friends at the corner and hit the hwy. Had a few drinks and smoked a doobie,(don't do that anymore) wink Concert was awesome! I was 5TH row center. I got flowers from Wendy. Bought tour book, shirt & still have my ticket stub. Best night of my life. Ended up on Bourbon St. Could'nt find car for 2 hours. Finally made it home. Slept like a baby.
Sorry bout the rambling...those were the days! smile
Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.

I hadn't thought of that "WEAR SOMETHING PURPLE" request on the ticket in years! That was a nice memory jog. smile

Wow..... I went to the Nov 5 1984 ( second Detroit show) when the whole tour started in Detroit. It was crazy but we had nosebleed seating way up. I don't remember much cause I was crazy about this girl and didn't pay much attention to the show. We didn't last and this other girl kept asking me out and asked me to another of the Detroit shows but I wasn't interested in her cause my friend dated her for a month so I passed. Well needless to say we became friends and started dating a few months later in 1985. Got married in 1990.... funny how things work out.

Well, I saw the live via satelite transmission from Syracuse, March 30 1985, on TV. Does that count? smile

I taped it and saw it many, many times. I had liked some Prince songs before seeing the show, but seeing the show really won me over and made me a Prince fan. biggrin
