I believe it was a No Doubt song they had been working on and they gave it to Prince for some input, similar to Why Should I love You with Kate Bush. | |

No Doubt did it better with Waiting Room than TLC did with If I Was Your Girlfriend.

Whoa, huge No Doubt fan here. Prince and No Doubt are two of my favorites, so the collaboration was an exciting propsect for me. In the end though it's nothing particularly special, but still a solid track. | |

One of my fav collaborations he has done. That driving rhythm, those classic Prince background vocals meshed with Gwen's frustration at her relationship status at the time make a beautiful darker tone.
