From that list Bowie.. Otherwise I'm gonna say something wild like David Byrne. Or let's say Adrien Belew spelling off, or Debbie Harry, or Phillip Glass. or Lou Reed, Of Course Manson and of Course Siouxsie Sioux and The Cure, and Love and Rockets Daniel Ash and well Morrisey More than anybody. Or TRENT REZNOR. I like ALTERNATIVE. He could even work with the lead singer from OMD. I wanna see him work with some ALTERNATIVE Musicians and ya know HOWARD JONES is COOL also BUT probably his number 1 should be U-2!!!!!

I don't care for too much of his 'collaborations'
I've always enjoyed the Prince world where protege and musicians were made by Prince Even when he worked with Sheena Easton (Sugar Walls) on U Got the Look, he princed her out, put her in similar clothing looks and he didn't change his look or music to do it. Prince stands on his own If anything I would love 2 see him perform with Dez Dickerson [Edited 3/4/09 11:02am]

He's done that ....let's move on... Move on 2 what, I'm not talking about going backwards... Just jamming on the guitars together, collaborations with 'other' musicians don't do much for me when it comes to Prince. Well I would like to see he do some heavy metal with a metal band. I hate when people feel the need to tell others what they should like or not Move on 2 what? This is all fantasy, he's not going to work with any of these people being mentioned.. I saw Q-tip play with him at the 1st celebration concert in Minny. It was alright nothing too exciting.

.. Sade....the beauty between those two would probably burn our eyes! Lauren Hill....I just miss her whole vibe! Dionne Farris....pure vocal talent and grunge funk. ...why not Mos Def....or just Prince playing the bass on Umi Says...lawd it would be so much cool oozing in that room it would be a block of ice! Andre 3000...in my opinion he is Prince first cousin..the whole out there b4 his time type of thing. Q-Tip....cause he can get a party hopping! Can't you just hear the lyrics getting spit with these two! Madonna...not for the singing just the blatant visual it would create!!! Green Day...just to see Prince act like it was the 80's again! I know I'm all over the place ...I can wish right?

Herbie Hancock
Scott Henderson Dennis Chambers Victor Wooten Clyde Stubblefield Toshinori Kando Jamie Lidell Lewis Taylor Bill Laswell Van Hunt Bootsy Collins Charlie Hunter John Scofield Gary Willis ..... Not to put down a lot of everyone else's picks, but I don't see what the appeal of Prince working with "stars" is. I'd rather hear (and see) him stretch his horizons with guys like these. P.S. This is no dis on Van Hunt or Bootsy whatsoever. They know they're stars. I'm just saying that they're also phenomenal and could take things to the next level. I'm going to stop here before I write a book.

It would be cool if Prince just did Prince. BUT it would also be cool if he decided to work with Sade. I just believe there's a great song for the two of their talents to shine on. Prince on acoustic guitar and vocals, of course; Sade on vocals and whatever else she wants to play; toss in a lil percussion from Sheila E.; Stuart Matthewman adding some complimentary guitar licks. Oh, man. Lemme stop. A man can dream, right?
