It's almost like people who try so hard to be different from their family and upbringing(and I don't mean bad family & bad upbringing) I know people like that, my younger brother was like that for a while, he tried to remove himself from everything our family lived(traditions and interactions, family gatherings) I just made him look stupid. I think Prince should stop trying to distance himself from those times, outside of pulling out a song or too.

Possibly since the London shows and his reconnecting with Sheila & Wendy & Lisa (and obviously listening to more of the earlier music) he seems like he may be coming full circle.
