Who's the dude that plays Harmonica on Prince's LENO performance? All the Maytes, twins, and Cats of the world
simply can't match his stage presence. It's the best addition to a Prince act I've seen in ages. I ain't even lyin'

I really like this dude. He brings a nice enthusiasm to the band, yet he also seems very professional. Plus he plays (as Miles Davis would say) "like a motherf*cker!" Toejam @ Peach & Black Podcast: http://peachandblack.podbean.com

I liked his contribution on the Leno performance of 'Dreamer'. His harmonica harmonised with Prince's solo's magnificently. At some points i couldn't decipher whether or not it was Prince or Yonnet playing the sounds i heard. I think it's a nice edition, too. Part of me can't help but feel that he's gonna get over-used on stage though. Hopefully not.

Yeah I think the harmonica dude's pretty cool.
Definitely a nice addition and something different for once... instead of some fool screaming his head off on an otherwise excellent song... or some other airheaded bimbo chick saying, "Oh, Gawd, I wanna dance."

am I the only one who doesn't like him? I mean nothing personal but, it just doesn't fit in. IMO harmonica is for rock/country a la neil young, bob dylan, ryan adams etc

His solo at that concert was insane. I didn't know you could do that with a harmonica. Say "hi" to Mr. Bear

You arent alone. He might be cool if he wasnt a hot dog and so over the top. He looks to be over 6ft and just looks too big to be all over the stage next to tiny Prince - when he is a backup player! Not even Wendy was this big of a ham.

I also don't think that much of him. He's okay on the harmonica but come on, he's no Stevie Wonder or anything. I just don't think we need to hear too much harmonica in Prince's music.

Stevie Wonder, meet Vinniecent. He has a lot to learn. Proceed to teach.

When I saw him at the Gaansvoort Hotel in NYC, I thought he was good but it seemed a bit gimicky. I guess even Prince needs someone to kick a solo in order for him to take a break off stage and do a wardrobe change.
Still I thought he fit better with the Leno performances... perhaps as the newest member of the band he's still finding his groove. "That...magic, the start of something revolutionary-the Minneapolis Sound, we should cherish it and not punish prince for not being able to replicate it."-Dreamshaman32
