With all the very knowledgable Prince and music fans here I wonder if it would be possible to make the quintessential Prince documentary.

It would be a subjective compilation. We all have our different perspectives about the music, how it paralleled our lives and our own personal feelings about Prince as a man seperate from the music...say as a poet, or a businessman, a person, or a spirit.

It would be an interesting book if a chapter came from everyone.

My Chapter of course would be how my love wasn't enough for Prince because I wasn't a singing tramp....I'm kinda kidding.

I'd like to make a serious analysis of his music, impact and legacy. Some of us would make great contributors. I can film. I can direct. People like Vainandy, Alan Leeds, and many more would be great.

I do think he's an important artist in the trues sense of the word and just as Ellington, Bernstein and others have had films done assessing their lives, cultural impact, place in history, I think Prince deserves this too. It doesn't have to be a sycophantic ode. I think the man truly matters enough for a film to be made something for the fan and people wanting to know what this phenomenon was and is.
