I went to the first Celebration which was great at the time but seemed to pale in comparison as the later celebrations happened...

I would go to another one that was at least 4 days long with guaranteed performances by Prince smile
Hard to believe I've been on the org for over 25 years now!

Or the time he had a "pyjama party" type thing(was he trying 2 b like Jacko??? lol lol ) and the air conditioner broke down or something at PP and it was so hot and he called up the local movie theater to open up and had everyone follow him down there and him and the fans took over the local movie theater!! I cant remember which film everyone watched though!!!!

Also, did anyone ever go 2 that Paisley Park Yard Sale??? That was a real trip!!!!! lol lol lol lol

Aaaaaahhhh, those were the days!!!!! biggrin biggrin biggrin

LOL! What were they selling there? Old Prince CDs and clothing?
I would have liked to get my hands on those.

Basically, all the old 1-800-New-Funk merchandize(CDs, cassettes, clothing, Get Wild perfume, Symbol tambourines, etc.), plus old Paisley Park furniture, instruments, consoles, etc.!!

Also, if I can remember rightly, one of the women who was standing at the cashier desk, on reflection now, looking back, was Mani!!!

AMEN!!!

2 answer the question i would go cause it's been 6 1/2 years since i've been 2 mpls and i love that city. someone mentioned there is nothing 2 do and i have 2 disagree, there is plenty 2 do, the mall of america, mpls in general, there is a casino in apple valley, calhoun square etc ..

but at the celebrations, i would like 2 meet up with a lot of my friends i have made her on the org.
man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

No and no.

Let him just release some decent albums at a fairly nice rate. (no not every year, every other year perhaps?)
Add a nice tour here or there.

We won't want to go to the USA.
(think of the events in this millennium: security theatre, even less freedoms and rights for the citizens, false flag operations, surveillance and data mining, etc. put that in an international perspective as well: the USA still thinks they are different from the rest of the (civilised) world, they don't want to have their people to go on trial in The Hague, they want all our info when we just want to travel and they outsource whatever they can't do locally, etc)

Don't take this personally if you're a USA citizen. Not everything you can influence with your vote.

I also do not recommend that he does it again. He was somewhat carefree at the last ones. And what the following years have shown is that he should not lend himself to be so open with some of the audience as we have seen a lot of their obsessive hate. It's not a safe environment anymore imho.
