I hope Prince is considering....... I just got news from a friend of mine that the Rock and Worship Road Show is coming to Phoenix Friday March 27th,the concert is NO TICKETS REQUIRED and is only $10.00 at the door of our US Airways arena.
Mind you these are very big names in the christian world of music, the reason for the price is they put a notation on the concert message saying "We are living in new world today, and an economy that is affecting everyone around us, we all wanted to be able to bring some family-friendly, and Christ centered entertainment that will uplift the people, and not break the bank" - lead singer for MercyMe qouted this... My point with all of this is I hope Prince had considered the economy on the eve of his concerts, and new album releases. I am not asking that he do $10.00 like this group, but it would be nice to know he is considering all of us hard working fans that pay hard earned money to put him where he is,I think in light of the economy it would be a good idea for all musicians to remember we the fans, put them where they are today. If it was not for us they would not have the big houses/cars e.t.c I think my point is very clear so I will leave it to that.. and add I cannot wait to go to this concert-good times ahead How does everyone feel about saving a little money?

No offense but
One, I can't see him doing something like this without him being the headliner which this festival doesn't seem like it's going to do, but I could be wrong here. Second, based of what many fans here have said about Prince being a JW and God Himself, I can't see Prince fans going to a Christian festival to see Prince. For me, even if Prince did the show and it sucked, I would love to see how many fans would go to see Prince in that environment, especially those not fond of God, just to see their reactions. You'd probably have to go through acts like MercyMe and Newsboys before Prince came on. It would be funny. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I wouldn't get my hopes up for that happening because Prince is a JW and they don't mingle with "regular Christians". But, I wouldn't mind saving money! I'd be estatic if Prince would charge $31.21 for his Lotusflow3r concerts like he did in London - or better yet, $19.99 or $7.00

Times is hard!! I think the way I had said this was not coming accross the way I had hoped sorry about that, I was not implying that Prince was going to do a gig at this concert,I know better than anyone that is not the case. What I was trying to say was I hope Prince considers our pocket books when he does his own concerts in the future, and the releasing of the 3 new albums. I was just mentioning this particular concert in my post as a example, it is nice that some bands consider the fans especially with the economy the way it is.

Oh, ok... miscommunications happen. Sorry to say, but that's still probably gonna be a no-go. Prince is Prince and he does what he wants. He's not known for his great empathy for his fans. I hate to be the voice of reason in this case cuz that sure would be nice if he would consider the state of things for we little people, but I'd pretty much bet my eyeteeth we're gonna have to dish out some major cash, so start savin! Times is hard!! I agree I have not hear of him mingling with Christians either, at least not of the musician kind anyway. If that is because is a J.W., not sure. However i have thought about how nice it would be if he did collaberate with some christian musicians and do some songs.

Oh I see and I apologize for misunderstanding what you said. Yeah I'm ALWAYS down with a very affordable concert ticket. It would be great if Prince did that and I wouldn't put it past him to do that. It would be wonderful. With that said, it might be that much harder to get a ticket cause everyone and their mother and father will be trying to get a ticket and many true fans might not be able to get a ticket as a result. That would suck BIG TIME. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

You must got the wrong Prince here, because the Prince I heard of doesn't work for cheap. AT ALL, economy or not.

An interesting option even though the costs are high to pay a venue and staff...U could have a free concert and charge a hundred dollars for T-shirts.
Just to see what would happen one time, advertising that fact ahead of time...that way the music is given and the people that can afford to have an item would set money aside 4 that. Even if U did that for one tour and lost money....It would promise more promotion later on, where when the economy was better and tickets prices returned to their standard price, a lot more people would be wearing the concert T-shirts throughout the year. Even if it was just a summer tour...The merchandise could be sold outside. Just a thought. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

Well so far what we all have seen, is his actions as of recently. He has opened up his house for fans to enjoy, and reporters alike. That takes a very giving heart to do that, I think he has changed alot throught out the years. So I really do think this is a possiblity that he could be even more generous for his fans, because let's face it, the economy is affecting all of us, even our beloved Prince, of course he may not admit that but it does.

Of course sometimes the unusual sometimes is just what we need in this mundane world of ours..
