How many stars have been bitched slapped the 1st scene of their own movie? I think that took a lot of courage to cast oneself is such a light and to embrace Chauvinistic behavior with so much at steak.
1.Prince getting bitch slapped 2.Whore getting slammed dunked in the dumpster 3.Apollonia risking her scruples for a chance at stardom 4.Prince back hand slapping Apollonia for joining Morris band 5.Prince Mugging Apollonia under the bridge for drinking. The fact that Prince got smacked in his own movie has NOTHING to do with how successful it was. You might wanna change ur title of the thread. Prince was NOT "bitch slapped" in the 1st scene of the movie it was about half way through the movie( title is very misleading imo).
Another men get smacked in many other movies to answer ur orginal question. Purple Rain was NOT the only one. It sinking was never a question. It having a plot and keeping the audiences attention WAS for a rock movie. Smurf theme song-seriously how many fucking "La Las" can u fit into a dam song

Look, this movie has bitch slappings, realistic fingering, Morris calls his dancers "bitches", they throw a girl in a dumpster, the F-bomb drops a number of times, he pretends to leave a chic naked in a lake, ect.
