For me it had 2 B, The Beautiful Ones. He lay down on his back right in front of my eyes and screamed this song out, it's always been my favourite. I cried.

'The Question Of U' and 'Whole Lotta Love' at NIGHTTOWN in Rotterdam (02-11-2002).

Prince, PLEASE release the NIGHTTOWN aftershow on CD/DVD!

What about Beautiful Strange at Nighttown? That was tight and haunting...yes, haunting. His vocals on that performance (you know, it sounds as if it just is too much for him!), the guitar!

Also, I would say The Work was a highlight for me. Sooo funky live. Or the extended 1+1+1is3/Housequake/Parliament jam in Berlin. Or the full version of The Beautiful Ones.

Elephants & Flowers
your highlight of the year ???

you really need some perspective
that is one of the most heartless soulless performances he played at the celebration - if not all year IMO

It seems it was only done to give the fans something different, his heart obviously wasn't in it at all,
it just sounds so boring and dead.

It was just done to give something to talk about and that it did, what a sad performance it really was.

He even commented I dont think we played this before,
(possibly because it sucks live ?) it was just to give you something special , but if he isnt gonna put his heart into it, it would have been better not to do it all than some half-assed pathetic attempt.

vibe ? the vibe of total and utter boredom ?

SAD

"Gotta Broken Heart Again" just gave me the shivers in Oberhausen. So beautiful.

For me it has to be 'Power Fantastic' on the Friday night at The Hammersmith Apollo.

It had real power and resonance.

His voice soared like an Angel. A moment of true, captivating musical genius.

I'm a grown man and I'm not often 'moved', but I had a serious lump in my throat.

It was just so genuine, honest and sincere.

Whole Lotta Love - London Apollo 5 October.

He should cover this song on his next studio release. Amazing guitar work.

I took a friend with me for this show who is not a prince fan and he was stunned by his mastery of the guitar that night.

Yes VINO!! mad

I know he played it elsewhere, I didn't expect to be at the ONLY show that he used that specific guitar!

I merely meant that it was the only time I saw him play it at the two gigs that I was at!!!

Also, just remembered how funky thankyoufalletinme was at the London soundcheck, with the weeman on bass!!!
