Sadly, becoming a JW is NOT typical at all. If what you say is in fact true, then wouldn't all his recent love interests, body guards, staff, band members, dancers, dj's, and actor/actress friends be JW's by now? You know, become a JW to solidify their jobs or get on his good side, if that is what you are insinuating with "typical". The fact is that Bria is the only one who is a confirmed and active Jehovahs Wittness. There is something deeper to that than what you see on the surface. Its a complete transformation and awakening! I hope she stays firm on the path of life and always puts Jehovah and his kingdom first. If she does, she will make out just fine. I support her and our dear brother Prince and am looking forward to all the new music and wonderful things to come. Peace and love damn someone wrote an essay lol...Dont mis quote what i said I did say GOOD FOR HER IF SHE WANTS TO BE IT but prior to me reading the interview and finding out she was I was jokin with my sister (who is also a huge prince fan) sayin im sure she turned a JW since her and prince have been spending time together e.t.c so it didnt come as a surprise to me. Dont make out like im against it i really couldnt give a damn what religion shes in as long as shes happy..i dont even know her to really care

[Edited 1/11/09 2:26am] you are a walking purple dildo.... I am clearly praising the song for that very reason. next time read the post. Oh, and we get it... you play the guitar. I won't get into all the religious nonsense, which I find utterly repellant.
However isn't it a shame that Prince seems so incapable of learning from past mistakes? Yet another female protogé... oh I'm sure that'll turn out great. Similarly, he always works with such idiot web teams who usually produce a unusable overly designed graphics-heavy mess, which users hate using and which Prince himself invariably tires of very quickly. Also, for all his claims of music business acumen, he still has not learned to keep his silly JW ideas to himself when the point of the exercise is to promote his music. I'll always be a great fan of Prince's music, but I really don't enjoy anything the man says in interviews. What a tedious sanctimonious bore. [Edited 1/11/09 14:41pm]

Over the last weeks, I've been amazed on Prince's tactics. Opening a site, closing it, mouth-to-mouth pub, giving little hints via different persons, like the usually well-informed Doc. Isn't that what we secretly expect from him. If he would blow away all the curtains, wouldn't this be the end of the mystique?
I'm a Prince fan for almost 30 years now, he has had his ups and downs. I'm a huge fan of the "The Rainbow Children" and "N.E.W.S" albums. "Musicology" was good, "3121" was great and "Planet Earth" was OK. However, nothing beats the Stage-Prince. I've seen a whole lot of concerts and I was never disappointed! Always had a great time. As for the new site and stuff, very promising, very amusing! "Here Eye Come" grows and grows on me, "There'll never be" Another Like Me is also a hypnotising one. As for the religious discussions, Prince says it very clear in the interview: everybody is free to choose, so is he. As for the copyright discussions, he's right, it's his work! But maybe, on the new site, he can give something back to the fans, special remix, some free downloads, just like so many artists do nowadays. And 1 stupid question, as a car freak: does anyone knows which sportscar he's driving at the moment! The Lotusflow3r will grow, give it some time and love.

Also she's aged quite gracfully without any obviouse plastic surgery and has developed into a fine actress. We need more songs written about women like that! [Edited 1/11/09 17:09pm]

Lovesexytegan said: Meloh9 said: If you are indeed a JW, you never said you are but you referred to Prince as "our" dear brother so I am assuming, I have a few questions as I am familiar with the way of life. I was wondering as I looked through the 21 nights book, why is Prince allowed to wear heavy make up and eye liner as well as high heel boots. You guys have a strict dress code and that seems like something the elders would have reprimanded Prince for by now. In fact I can't picture Prince without these items, I have always wondered about this. A Jehovah witness family I am close to in some ways made it clear about their association with "worldly" people, meaning those that are not of the Jehovah Witness faith, association with them must be limited. Prince is also allowed to throw lavish party's after the Grammy and other events where various people show up, is this also against the rules or does it depend on the standards of the particular hall he belongs to? Also Prince and JW's do not vote, yet they reap the benefits held by a political system, for example, Prince as a person of color can go to any restaurant he wants, drink from any water fountain, vote and do number of other things because of his human and civil rights that were established because people took a political stance. Also any tax benefit he may receive for his wealth is all the result of a political decision that was made by the President or a person in congress. My question is how are you guys, a part of the political system but not a part of the system, your freedom of religious choice itself is stemmed from the political institution of democracy, so in a way I don't understand this area of the faith. If someone tried to take away your constitutional right to be a JW, how would this be handled? I guess you can respond in a orgnote not trying to derail the topic but the interview mentions his way of life and his role as a witness several times and these are things I am very curious about. Thanks [Edited 1/10/09 12:59pm] WHAT ARE YOU SERIOUS/ Do You think prince dosnt think the world needs political systems all over the world, thats stupid he's religion chooses not to vote in that part ooh well im sure every one has different views on everyone else and can be picked on in anegative way but dont be negative towards he's views and there is no prblem. loved the interview nicest thing ive read in years. IS this the mind of a genius or what No, that's the mind of a scientist, an inquisitive mind shall we say. It's not new either. The Shamen (90's techno/house band, Ebenezer Good, etc) would always have their tracks playing at (memory may be failing slightly here) 160 - 180 bpm. The felt this was the optimum speed to invigorate the mind and body (and E always helped that along too I guess). I guess I should mention that Shamanic (lived in the wild, hairy, and tripped out a lot but not on E) beats would be between 180 - 220 bpm as this had some effect that they believed helped too. Probably some pre-hippy trance state. And sarko and sdldawn, it's nice to see another Org bitch-slapping. From an outside pov I have to say that you, sarko, made the first comment about a person's private life when you stated that it was clear (how?) that sdldawn didn't play guitar or new nothing about it. You also jumped to the conclusion that he/she thought you were male. You also misread the original post where sdl said "...while Crimson is note worthy [of] his skills..." Perhaps you didn't spot the 'e' at the end of 'not'? Who knows (who cares)? And walking purple dildo? A nice insult but I prefer the new-classic "bummed in the gob".
