out of the 3 funk tunes out of the last 3 dance/funk tunes, which r ur favorites?
f.u.n.k. turn me loose there will never be another like me 4 me it's a close run between f.u.n.k. and TWNBALM but F.U.N.K. wins out how about y'all? (psst prince release an all funk/dance album!!! it's long overdue!) man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Turn Me Loose is a rock song. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

F.U.N.K. since it contains every element that makes me love prince
plus it sounds lively, bouncing, driven and fierce with many cool ideas fighting for attention but not drowning each other out. it's one of his most elaborate funk efforts since 1988. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Easy... "F.U.N.K.".
HOWEVER... I'm not 2 sure if "There'll Never B Another Like Me" will be released, or if it will be released as we heard it... So if that were 2 be true, then U would have 2 include "Chelsea Rodgers", with Prince STOMPIN' the Funk on Bass, Drums, and Guitar... and he pushes the Drums and Bass up in the mix, right in your face. "Chelsea Rodgers" is a strong contender, but "F.U.N.K." would be my top choice, especially if heard in another form besides mp3! ; ) [Edited 12/30/08 13:13pm] "He's a musician's musician..."

Damn, this is hard. It's either F.U.N.K. or There'll Never B Another Like Me. I'm going to go with There'll Never B Another Like Me. TNBALM makes me wanna dance the most., especially the breakdown at the end of the song, the last 2 minutes. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I'll be glad when Prince frees up the other material he is holding hostage.

F.U.N.K.
Though...it's really just kinda' 'meh' I wanna be loved to the 9s, so let me cover your ass with this sheet, and baby, you better stay on the beat! Cause you know the Karma Sutra? I can rewrite it. But, with half as many words.

Believe me, I got the chills when I heard "F.U.N.K."... all the stuff I love, and the guitar RIPS. "Chelsea Rodgers" MAKES me want 2 grab the Bass or Guitar, or dance my ass off. BUT... U can't say it's "plastic" at all. It's organic, and with not 2 much effects applied... The drums have a perfect small room reverb, and the Bass is WAY up in the mix. Something Prince hardly ever does with Bass Guitar. Not 2 much fluff there... just some stompin' Funk... It leans toward classic disco Funk, but it hits hard enough 2 be Funk and not Disco... Dontcha' think? "He's a musician's musician..."

Exactly. F.U.N.K. has more energy and musical life than anything he'd released in years prior. It's the only new song he's released since 2002 that made me immediately react with enthusiasm and joy upon hearing it. It made me really believe Prince still has it. The other two songs are poor.
