Is it just me or does she sound like a (vocally) better version of Carmen Electra? She doesn't have any real strenght and power to her voice, but she sounds pretty good and I still like the song. Sexy and soothing.

I didn't know saying that Bria sounds good and that I like the song is hating on someone... The Carmen comment was more about her voice, not her technique. The voice itself, the tone, just reminded me of Carmen's and that doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing.

This is obviously the sample we heard last summer (or whenever the hell that was).

I like this much better initially than the more recent example of Bria. Also much more promising to me than that unreleased, mostly mediocre Tamar album (and she could definitely sing).

This sounds like it could be a Sade track. Not that Bria is anywhere near that level of legendary voice. But that laid-back, sexy vibe and guitar-driven nature would certainly fit her like a glove.

And I like that wink from the shower to Marvin Gaye's "Make Me Wanna Holler" at 1:09.

Not quite as confident that the rest of the Bria experience will be of this vintage, but I always remain hopeful.

it's amazing how prince has been able to get so many woman over the years to do music, even after what they've seen happen to the woman that came before them. most of the time he doesn't promote their work enough, and majority of them weren't even good talented singers.
