"The Upper Room with Joe Kelley" radio show has begun playing songs from the standout new Prince "One Night Alone Live" Box Set". The box set features music from one of the most dynamic musicians and his incredible band, the New Power Generation. In addition to the 2 CDs of the One Night Alone concerts, there is a bonus CD called "It Ain't Over" which includes music from Prince's legendary aftershow jams on the One Night Alone tour.

It's bad enough we as members didn't get this first, but to have it get airtime so folks OUTSIDE the club can record it and distribute it for FREE?

You're right, but with the CDs released through NPGMC, they were supposed to be either exclusive, or at least NPGMC members would be the first to hear them. Clearly Prince has allowed a copy of ONA Live to be given to Joe Kelley first and has enabled anybody who's interested to hear it before Club members get it.
Full marks to Joe Kelley, however, for broadcasting it and giving it such a high profile.

Listening to "Joy in repetition" right now... heard "adore", "Dorothy Parker", and "Family Name"... sounds great even over the bad quality audio! Can't wait to hear it all! Joe Kelly you're the bomb!
For all the naysayers, think of this... members recieved the One night Alone CD which was a "Demo" of new songs Prince had done. These songs were then taken on tour, performed at the celebration, and now being put together in the first EVER live album from Prince which you are getting as PART of your membership. Just think of this as the "One Night Alone" Year on NPGMC like it was "Rainbow Children" last year. I feel that Prince has fullfilled the $100 that I spent... although i do miss those monthly ahdio shows & other goodies.. Prince has always had a pattern which all other recording artists tend to follow... Studio Recording for a year, then going out a tour promoting the material you've just done. I feel that in the last 2 years, NPGMC has shown this same pattern. Maybe year 3 will be a return of the recording studio time and a return to the monthly downloads. Now if only the customer service can improve... I do agree that has ALWAYS been a problem, but in the end, I think that Prince has really come thru with this club and hope he keeps trying to evolve it into something great!
