I sure as HELL have never wanted to see Kid Rock. It'd be a cold, rainy, snowy day in Hell before I'd go see him.

Why would I wanna see that chunk of junk when I can wait and see a man with style, with class and who combs his hair every morning?

I'll take Prince over KR any day! lol

2 tell U the truth, the only Kid Rock song that I really know, is the duet with Sheryl Crow...and I do like the song and the video.

I know a lot of people that like him...I just never went that way...

His "new music"? Sorry Prince didn't mash up two classic rock staples and make it his biggest hit!

Where am I, cause that don't make no sense!
I'm not bashing Kid Rock, but the new stuff is hardly showing maturity! If anything, it has been mostly downhill!

Everything is a matter of opinion, if you step outside of the Prince fam community you will see your opinion is in the minority.

Kid Rocks production and song writing has matured, by comparison Prince's has been childish and amateurish of late. Prince seems stuck, his music always feels a few years behind the times now. His new music is dated the moment it is released, subject matter and music that is only deep or interesting to a 13 year old.
There you have it; Prince had a stroke in 1987 and has reverted to perpetual 13yr old mode since.

I'm sure all the waffle houses are abuzz with talk of Kid's genius.
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

Prince is a few years behind the times...Kid Rock is basically doing a safer more pop friendly verision of "Devil Without A Cause"!

I'm often on this site on the other music forum but suddenly listened to a few Prince tunes and hoped on here.....But seriously, in what kind of nether world is Kid Rock evolving at all...."All Summer Long"? He's basically bceoming like AC/DC. He found a niche and is sticking to it. If anything, a song like "Picture", even though it's a bit sappy and has other flaws, shows some maturity and range but since then, it's been all about using classic rock as a source of inspriration to the point of doing something like "All Summer Long"! I mean, the pleathra of things Prince has done since 1987, even the weakest shit (you know I'm thinking "New Power Soul"), is beyond some childs play of that song!

Put down the pipe! The fact that there is more than one person with this opinion....is it April Fools?

lol, pleathra, i think you gotta put down your pipe, Prince has been in that same place doing the same childish crap since 87
what pleathra are you talking about, jughead, Lolita, Love.

Some sanity in a crazy world!

Britney Spears, even though she only writes about five lyrics on each album, has shown more growth as an artist. I'm not sure what this guy's deal with Prince is because his stuff isn't hard or "mature" enough, but....KID ROCK? I didn't die and go to hell (or some other place where that makes sense) did I?

"Jughead". You going to pull that card? It's maybe his worst track but even compared to Kid Rock's biggest song, which is karoake over a song about how great summer is. "We were trying different things/Smoking funny things/Singing Sweet Home Alabama (but with different lryics)".

Let's take a look at the album.

Just off the top of my head, his hits from that album blow away anything of the songs Kid Rock released off "Rock and Roll Jesus":

"Money Don't Matter 2Nite" (kid shit!)
"Diamonds and Pearls"
"Cream"
"Gett Off"
"Insatiable" (Kid Rock might know the concept but I doubt he even knows that word)

This is dumbest thread ever and I'm maybe the dumbest poster ever for entertaining this.

lord, maybe this is why Prince’ new music is in the sorry state that it is in, the crazy fams defending his 90's music in the face of overwhelming public & critical views to the contrary. lol

I could picture Prince now, “well the critics say it sucks, the albums are not selling,...but the fams say it fantastic!, I’ll listen to the fams!"

insanity, yes it is

Lol the reality card, the card your deck is missing maybe?

Even Prince wont play his new stuff in concert does that tell you anything?
maybe that audiences dont want to hear it and he knows it.?

Dude, its not me just saying something, its critics and the general public speaking with their wallet.

And nobody said Kid Rock is a genius, genius. Got back and re-read wrote

"I'll agree that Kid Rock's new music music has turned out a heck of a lot better thans Prince's. I would never have thought it.

All i said was that the white rapper from detroit had matured and Prince hasnt, which is true.

Chill dude, nobody is takin your candy!
