PrintableMaybe my expectations are too low, but the music club is more than what I expected. By February I'll have 4 CDs. Granted, I am slightly saddened that these CD will not have anything I have never heard before on them. Since I am not into the bootleg scene this is my only opportunity to hear recordings from some of his shows. I have had access to sit in the first 15 rows at a concert for an artist whose music I love. I have been attending Prince concerts since '81 and I have only been able to get that close since joining the club. I went to the Celebration once and had the opportunity to go a second time. I've talked to Prince and as much as I love Luther Vandross I can't say I've ever talked to him.
For those people who do not live in the US or who don't really go to concerts I can see how the club would be a waste of money. But for someone like me this has been a dream come true. If Prince ended the club tomorrow and never sent me another CD I would be disappointed, but my $100 would be well spent. I just don't understand why there are some people who expected Prince to create 4 exclusive CDs, send them out throughout the year, and never allow the rest of the world to buy them. This is a business and the business is about making money. I didn't expect anything else. Why did you? | |

I distinctly remember the club saying members get it first, but never them being exclusive. But I would like to see it too, if anyone saved the page when they joined. The join page has been updated many times. The actual membership agreement makes no mention of number of CDs or whether they are exlusive or not. | |

One more thing (and then I'm really leaving). The people complaining haven't even received the live set yet and the year isn't over  Makes no sense.
