maybe that audiences dont want to hear it and he knows it.?

Dude, its not me just saying something, its critics and the general public speaking with their wallet.

And nobody said Kid Rock is a genius, genius. Got back and re-read wrote

"I'll agree that Kid Rock's new music music has turned out a heck of a lot better thans Prince's. I would never have thought it.
His sound has really matured, its really good. Prince on the other hand....."

All i said was that the white rapper from detroit had matured and Prince hasnt, which is true.

Chill dude, nobody is takin your candy!

"Jughead" is probably Prince's worst song ever out of....I don't know, well over 1000 released (considering work for others)? I compared it to Kid Rock's signature tune in recent years (minus his earlier memorable hits), sadly maybe the biggest hit of the year and it is EVEN WORSE THAN THAT SONG.

"Jughead" is indulgent and silly, a waste of Prince's talents.....

"All Summer Long" is NOT EVEN A COVER. It's the exact music, great music, of Warren Zenon and Lynard Skynard....If Kid Rock is maturing as a musician, than so is Weird Al who has done the same thing with humor (intentionally!) and for many years as well as releasing original tracks. Kid Rock matured singing the same damn stuff thematically but slightly editing it for make it Wal Mart ready.

If Miley Cirius went from the stuff she is doing now to "All Summer Long" (or the first single that bombed and they are trying to rerelease, "Soo Hott") that would show maturity. Kid Rock actually had some great original tunes on his first two albums. He is becoming more and more homogenized and safe and immaturing (if that were a word).

You know what’s really WAC besides that you used that word, (do people still use this word?) is that if you look at the charts, that Kid Rock released that album over a year ago, and its still at the top of the charts, Prince's dropped off the charts immediately.
That Kid Rock is getting good critical reviews for his album. Shouldn’t things be the other way around?
As a Prince fan, that is what I find WAC

And of course, sales are the best indication of quality and musical maturity. Now you're confused and showing yourself off as a fanboy. If "New Power Soul" by insanity was a big seller, it might have some people here crowing about Prince, but would still be maybe his worst overall album!

Kid Rock is getting good critical reviews cause I guess people like "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Werevolves of London"! And to say that he is showing musical maturity, I guess I didn't keep in mind that album with "Grit Sandwhiches for Breakfast" (I had to look that shit up!). As for great reviews, Allmusic.com gave this album LESS than it gave "American Bad Ass", which was AWFUL!

The thing is, I was a Kid Rock fan. Bought "Devil Without A Cause" and loved it....never bought "Cocky" for some reason, but "Picture" is pretty good and I can appreciate it but bought the album showing his early years. so he grew but he considering where he started. Bought the 2003 album but didn't get beyond his rather good cover "Feel Like Makin' Love" (BTW, a good cover because it doesn't sound exactly like the original) but I figured I shouldn't bother with the new one at all.

BTW, if you're part of "everyone" that just can't wait to hear covers of Warren Zevon, none of the shows are sold out so you can go ahead and end your excruciating wait for these hot tickets.
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

Dude you are going into too much detail here which isn’t warranted for this silly thread.
My point was simple, Kid Rock was a cornball white rapper who was a big joke to most people in his early career, still to a many.
He toned down his dopey rap machismo, and his lyrics are a little more palatable. What i said about the guy is that I would never have imagined that this dope had it in him to change after all these years and make something listenable. Nobody is calling him a genius or god or anything like that.
Hey maybe if Kid Rock can cut out his cornball shtick, maybe Prince can too.

See there is a positive to this silly thread
