When was the first time Prince brought 1999 out of retirement after the Rave un2 the year 2000 concert? I was just wondering cuz i read the inside of the dvd 2day and it said "P.S. Prince plays 1999 4 the last time ever!" | |

I dunno, but I was surprised that it was played in the O2. Never heard anything about the song being played before. (After rave 2000, that is  ) | |

Prince used the opening chords sometimes as a tease after he 'retired' the song on occasions.

You are correct, that date was the first time it had been played in full since 1999's rave concert. However the intro was used in 2004 and at the superbowl as an intro for Baby Im A Star | |
