My favorite love song of Prince's. It's a perfect embodiment of how Prince mixed the spiritual with the sexual. It's beautiful how it could be referring to opening yourself up to some kind of spiritual or religious salvation, or how it could be referring to simply opening yourself up to the power of love and romance. Or both at the same time.
I don't think any love song he's ever done has surpassed this song. | |

It was on one of the possible configurations for the album but as it's based on a W&L track called "carousel", I think that's why Prince shelved it for the most part. [Edited 12/31/08 11:36am] | |
