Because Madonna is the one with alot of Gay fans Not so much Prince. Maybe a few here and there. Women generally love Prince. And what will his female Lesbians Think about this?

I'm surprised anybody takes Prince serious anymore at all.

It think the reason why it's even noted is that after Caly Aiken, Prince is expected to be the next artist to come out of the closet, really. Other than that, nobody takes what he says seriously.

I'm placing my money on tom Cruise though. And I'd say he get 'outed' rather than coming out on his own.

I believe he was misquoted.

Please, so many people think Prince is gay already. No I don't think it will make him lose a lot of fans. Prince isn't considered as a gay icon. Most gay people I know don't like him anyway so it won't make much difference.

But that's beside the point. I can't deny that it bothers me that he might have said these things. But it should not come as a real suprise being that he is a Jehovah's Witness. If he was an advocate of gay rights he wouldn't be part of that religion. There are plenty of other Christian denominations out there that believe Jesus is the Saviour that are open-and affirming to the GLBT community. Why he chose the JW's I don't know. I hope God blesses him in his spiritual journey towards the truth. I still love his music, and I am praying for him every step of the way.

It's statements like this that turn people away from God/Jesus. You quote scripture from the bible but take it out of context of who God is. Religion is man's interpretation of the bible in order to make himself seem righteous infront of others. Jesus when he was here never even read the bible. There was no bible back then, only the Torah and the Prophet scrolls.

I don't know. I am so steaming about this, it's hard to put into written words! After the whole "Sheila E. Prays Away the Gay" headline from earlier this year, I am not at all surprised if it were true that P has become anti-gay. After all, the man seems to be able to shut-off any sexual side of himself and thinks others should be doing the same apparently....

Pretty bogotted, if you ask me, from a guy who once professed "YES" to god being love, not being straight OR gay, and dressing in women's stockings and heels.

For Chist's sake P, if you were misquoted, I'd be doing some back-peddling if I were you!!!!!

What would be the point of forgivness if we were to do things on purpose? If we were to do things on purpose we wouldnt want God's forgiveness, Forgives involves turning around and trying not to make that mistake again it says in the bible stripping off the old personality and putting on the new personality. If God forgives everything we do on purpose than everybody in the world even people that have been plain evil in the past would be let off for what they have done.

None of that other religious nonsense he talks has cost him any fans.

Even for a SECOND thinking Prince saying gay marriage "ain't right" infuriates me! My first thought was when I read about this was "HE BETTER HADN'T DARE SAY THAT"! I just don't want to believe it. I am so disappointed. You know Prince has already said/done things that shows he doesn't care about his fans. I guess it really is no surprise that he would do it again. I really don't care about the people on here saying "This is a sin. That is a sin". That is just people trying to draw attention to others because they think it will cause their sins to go unnoticed.

If he loses alot due to his "alleged" gay statement, they will be replaced by those that agree with him, those that will discover his music, those that will become fans jus cause ah his swagger and those that will become curious of who this "Prince" guy is cause of the way the whole thing has been blown up. So basically, he may lose alot but he jus may gain a whole lot more.
For e.g., The orger that said he may start sellin Prince stuff on Ebay...somebody will see this extremely unbelievably-lookin Prettyman dressed in heels, sample the music and, jus like that, a new fan in the makin! I'm sure even Prince knows he'll still have millions of fans if thousands leave I doubt the man's even breakin a worried sweat over all this, while others are jus huffin and puffin...
