It is hard to respect someone who you know thinks you are a second class citizen. It is hard to enjoy his music with this on my mind. I always thought Prince was progressive. I never said a WORD to anyone about the JW stuff...until now. I always thought it was interesting. So that in my eyes was respect. I guess when someone says that I don't deserve the same rights as everyone else it makes me angry. I always wonder what would happen if certain rights such as VOTING for instance was denied to women or African Americans how people would react.

He got his panties in a wad and thought he could make money off innocent people who's only crime was adoring him as a musician. As for Prince's religion, I think most people would be cool except for the fact this shit brainwashed him into rejecting the strength of his own youth. If he wanted to cut a clear path from the past, he could do so without trying to fuck around with and lie about who he was or what he stood for. Instead of re-creating old hits to suit his new faith, he could have forged a solid path based on his new foundation. Someone like myself loves the fuck out of The Rainbow Children because he did just that.

This isn't about people looking for any excuse to hate the man, it's that he's given us many to choose from.....
