LMAO -- Prince Impersonator on Letterman

LMAO

DID YOU SEE THAT?

It was a group there to promote a Tribute CD.

I had the TV on mute, looked up, saw a fake Prince.

I don't think I've laughed so hard in a while.

falloff

I thought they were really good!!!

The guy had all his mannerisms down. I thought they were cool.

They lead singer playing Prince was an ok guitar player, too!!!

I'd rather see the real thing, but they were a cool tribute.

I'm interested in seeing what other tribute band Dave has lined up!!!

it was horseshit.. the band was really good, but otherwise, the lead singer a total mockery. I can understand it's a tribute band, but do it with some class. YIKES!!! No way in hell I'd ever go see them in Vegas.

Got alot of haters out there, but I thought that they did a damn good job and the pseudo Prince was a pretty good guitar player. Give them their props. Nobody's going to be Prince, we know that, but I like to see some of you guys go up there and do it. Purple Reign is ok in my book.

i am in a tribute band myself and even tho this band could play musically, one thing my band vows never 2 do is try 2 dress up like prince and last night was a prime example on y we will NEVER go that route. pay respect 2 the music is more important than trying 2 imitate prince.

and with a name like they have, it didn't surprise me in the least that they went the "safe" route and did a song like let's go crazy
man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

I wasn't saying that they were bad, or trying to disrespect them in any way.

I think I was just shocked to see someone on TV acting/singing like P, and knowing it was actually P.

it was bloody terrible
the guy looked like a hyperactive little girl

manerisms spanerisms

no charm there what so ever

wriggling your mouth and head while doing a little guitar solo
doesn't mean you have your prince manerisms down pat

if i didn't see it from the start i would have thought i was watching mad tv

hanging on the tree,
But missed the orchid

Oh yeah, I have to admit, they sound great, and the lead singer has Prince's singing voice and moves down pat. I just can't get past the eyebrows. lol lol There's just something so odd about them. lol
