When I first heard the album (1 weeks before release on a promo DJ copy) I was so disappointed in how chaotic and gay the album sounded (compared to SOTT or Black Album), but at the same time the density and odd vibes and themes and pink minimalist artwork made me curious to try to figure out why I should like it. What did Prince intend? So I listened to it a couple hundred times...

That's a great review Imago.

Imo opinion the SOTT/BA/LS period is one of his most interesting.

Lovesexy is easily his most uplifting album.

Musically it's of a high standard, original and complex.

The title song always makes me happy. It has a great guitar solo in the background and the way it flows into When 2 R in Love is sheer genious.

Lovesexy is one of his few albums you should listen from beginning to end. It's an experience.

I listened to it countless of times after it came ouit.

The great thing was that when you listened closely you could hear new little sounds, voices and instruments playing you never heard before.

Love it.
