I don't really agree with that statement. I'm going to use britney spears as an example. I believe the woman has some talent, she can sing, she can dance, she can put on a good show, and some of her songs are catchy, but honestly, for the woman to be as popular as she is I just don't get it.

Mariah Carey I can understand, at least her voice is amazing with the things she can do, but britney...is not exactly the greatest singer or dancer.

But...I think Prince has the audience he deserves. His talent def needs to be heard around the world. He is brilliant. He deserves to be recognized by the world.

Yes because we can be just as moody, flippant, inspiring, controlling, sexual, intelligent, seductive, spiritual, funky, prolific, funny, eccentric, awesome and short as he!

This doesn't bode well for Ted Nugent.

I don't agree that Prince hates his fans. Rather I think he tests the limits. I would think at 50 those insecurity would be gone. Prince, just crank out good to even greater music and we'll always have your back!

This isn't always true.

Take Weezer for example. The majority of fans at their shows these days are the same type of frat boys that used to pick on Rivers Cuomo which instigated him into becoming a musician in the first place.

Or so Rivers claims.

I think that is kind of an abstract statement...The other side of the coin is..."Why bad things happen 2 good people."

If a one on one conversation, is constructive criticism...I agree, as a Mentor would guide a Student.

If the listener is merely a critic for the negative attention, I would disagree with the statement, although realizing that in every conversation there is something 2 be learned...Even if the Critic must learn that their opinions are rated more highly than they ought to be.
