This song I get, but am having trouble listening to "God". I'm not sure I like it.

I question who Jesus really was.... I feel he was just truly a profit that spread good things and love throughout the world... most of all he taught peace and the strength in pacivity, endurance, though I feel a marter can be seen and misconstrued from the story of his life. IMO

Yes lovely song about Jesus. I don't question jesus divinity but I do question how far he traveled, and when he actually died.
I love the song and the b/w video...what i remember from i think it was liveaid or whatever that benefit concert was; just thinking why didn't Prince perform live and wow he need a touchup. he looked beautiful tho at the end when he said 'thankyou'

i'm not crazy for the studio version. it just works so well acoustically. no need for a beat. that's like giving sometimes it snows in april a beat . we don't seem to be talking about that version, so i digress . such a beautiful melody. especially when wendy and lisa kick in on the hook with p's ad-libs . just perfect . such a great song. when was it recorded (the live version from the hits/the b-sides, not the video)? is the whole show circulating?
