I believe this was a topic from the past, but I think it's fun to be revisited, in light of a Brazilian Sign o' the Times DVD that I bought.

They REALLY butchered the words. When you turn on the subtitles, you'll see things like "Be the Red Corvette" and "Togas and some of them new" ... seriously!

But in any case, when I first heard Little Red Corvette, I was just a kid, and we all know how Prince likes to SCREACH out his lyrics.

The top butchered lyric that I used to sing:

Little Red Corvette:

"And the ride is so sweeeeet, you must be a yellow bean"


Don't ask!


There are MANY MORE... but that's what comes to mind first!

Any lyrics you've butchered, and came to learn years later that you were singing along wrong??? I'd love to know... so I won't feel so bad!
