Come (original track list) VS Gold Experience (released version)

I always loved the Come cd more than Gold Experience. So to see the original track list for Come just blew my mind. Makes me wonder if Calhoun Sq. or Da Bang was ever intended for any cd other than Crystal Ball? If they were included on Chaos & Disorder, it certainly would have been better than Gold Experience too. And just thinking about that period (The early 90s music) was somehow better or seems like stronger material than alot of Ps 80s music. I think if P & Warners could have Come to a better agreement than P could have been a bigger rock icon (as opposed to being more of a pop icon). Come/Gold Experience/Chaos & Disorder was cool just like Emancipation plus Exodus/Love Symbol/Diamonds & Pearls. Damn, P was really great in 90s.

Saying that Prince's music is cool seems to be a more reasonable statement than trying to say that it is Pop or Rock or Funk...To me...It's Prince.

I feel that there are a couple of songs that definitely fall into a category...like "Pop Life.." It goes into Pop...and several songs seem to go into blues...I just have a hard time with Prince's songs because they are all very unique.

I'm with you on The Gold Experience. It was like he was trying too hard. I much preferred Come. The Beautiful Experience version of the song Come is better though.
