International Lover appreciation This song is another genius cut from 1999.
I've probably seen Prince in concert 7 or 8 times, but I've never had the pleasure of seeing him perform it. In any case, the lyrics, the composition, the creativity... are simply bliss. Only Prince could pull this song off. NOBODY else! Once in a while you'll hear this song on late night slow jam sets on the radio. It's certainly eccentric and not at all mainstream R&B, but I just want to applaud Prince... 25 or 26 years later... for this song that is a TRUE Prince classic. "If for any reason there's a loss in cabin pressure, I will automatically drop down to apply more... " lol... that's just one line is this piece of musical art. Your thoughts? 5 stars. Good family fun.  The public is squeezin' you kiddo. You'd better kick ass on your next album or else! |

I like this one too. Its flirty and fun. And the way he delivers this verse is perfect:

Good family fun. This song has so many moods, so many phases. This is Prince feeling it. I like how the music sounds like you are on a flight. Prince used to make the music take you on highs and lows, increase the intensity then break it down to just drums and bass and then take you back up again. "Chili Sauce" has a bit of this flavor. "Condition Of The Heart" does it. Prince needs to go back and listen to his own music. | |
