Prince Suits Prince.

Prince is definitely the Perfect name 4 him, I couldn't think of calling him by any other name really, although if U were 2 look at Prince and give him a nickname of Ur own, or another name that would suit him...What name would it be?

I'd call him, "Billy," I reckon.

unfortunately his name has been pimped out for 30 years.

its a commodity, a product, a dollar sign, a symbol of a traumatized life behind the prison-bars of fame and disassociation from reality - and real love.

That maybe true Union...But who could wear Prince better, with a musical heart of gold? You can't put a price tag on that.

In some ways, I agree the name does suit him.

But other times, I feel like it doesn't

When I hear that name, I think about that guy who was big in the 80's and had hit it huge with 1999 and Purple Rain. That look that he and The Revolution had from 1982-1984 is what comes to mind when I think of the name "Prince."

At the same time, it seems like the name either speaks too highly of him where he's actually really simple deep down. Or it doesn't speak highly ENOUGH of him
We're talking about someone who's had a career for 30 years, writes nearly everything, sings all these vocals (lead & back-up), produces everything, plays all these instruments.

When he's in the interview situation, comes off as shy and soft-spoken, that name adds so much prestige, but its almost like its not a big deal. He's human like the rest of us.
But the prestige does suit him

He's just full of contradictions, that Prince

Prince was my boyfriend in our last life together, and Billy was his name...If Prince doesn't remember, that I suppose He got amnesia during the death and birth recycling.

on a serious note, it has been said that "there is more to a name" and i think in Prince, or Elvis or many others it is true. I mean how many people have you run across in life named Prince and how ridiculous would that name be if he worked a city job or something? He seemed destined to be named Prince.

I was thinking about this myself the other day when a student at work asked if that was his real name! I'm 25 but god that made even me feel old!! I think if he was called something simple/more common he should have adopted prince as his stage name anyway. It's just so perfectly fitting and couldn't imagine him being named anything else.

I don't know how Prince has to conduct himself to protect his own respect, and that can be hard for a humble person to do...even bring out an angry side U'd rather not express, but I am in favor of seeing the peace in a man or a woman.
The name Prince will always suit his nature as far as I am concerned...The name always supposes a King.
