70's - didn't hear until the 80's = null

Overall, I'm about 9 
10 would indicate that Prince is perfection  (which he isn't).

Seriously, anyone who responds with a "10" for the entire 30-year career doesn't seem credible.
To me, that means that you regard Emancipation, KamaSutra, NPS and NEWS as good as 1999, Purple Rain, SOTT and Lovesexy. |

Like I said, I'm a 9 because I don't own or intend to own all his albums. I'm aware people see me as a nutcase but I want to stay a few steps above becoming a total one by owning everything and driving myself mad.
For the record, I own: All the 80's albums (except Batman) For You (when I get to nearest wrecka stow, the 2nd album will be my next buy) All the 90's albums except for..... Graffiti Bridge, all the NPG albums except for NewPower Soul (my first and last) and Chaos & Disorder. (I might be forgetting one )
Musicology thru Planet Earth and The Rainbow Children (which has its moments, but I find VERY HARD to get into  it doesn't feel like a Prince album to me... it feels more like a gospel group album).

80's: 10 90's: 7 00's: 9 I seem to be one of the few people who think his work in the 00's has been of far greater quality and consistency than the stuff from the 90's. The 90's saw some real gems, but he also released so much crap in those years its kinda tarnished my perception of that decade. Change it one more time.. | |
