Just a Q, but has anyone noticed the pics of the maid aka Chelsea Rodgers, and that her tights are shredded. Was that intended? or was the budget simply....small?

Well, I took my book to work and showed it to some other nurses and they were like "Oooh, Ahh-he's so pretty." ya Prince

I will always support Prince and his endeavors. And I had some negative criticism about some of the pictures, although 80 percent of the book is beautiful...

i say a bloke confident with his sexuality would have no problem having a flick through the book..my husband did exactly tht, flicked through, & hovered a little bit longer over some of the pictures,
he was like 'oooffft!'
to my relief he was drooling over 'the maid'...

why are you all so surprised -up to the point where you even get mad- that this
is a book full of airbrushed glamourshots, and boring ones at that.

y'all knew you were getting a photobook made with prince's input, right? and we
all heard the "one nite alone" album so i guess we also knew what to expect from
the included cd.

i knew all this prior to the release, since it is just common sense. i still got
the book, flicked through it, ripped the cd and filed both of them away before i
even had a good look at all the pictures.

i wanted the cd and i guess i just wanted to have a look at the entire package,
but it didn't surprise me that the cd has only 2 tracks that really capture my
attention and the book has only 3 or 4 pictures that are absolutely amazing.

I personally love the book - it might not be exactly what I had hoped it would be but don't feel at all disappointed. It would have been nice to have a few more candid shots around the concert time but I personally would not want to see P looking anything less than his best and which he does all the time. I do however love seeing pictures of him smiling and enjoying himself more. The pictures are beautifully shot and composed although obviously staged but thats in a way a lot easier for the photographer and perhaps P. I also think the whole book is beautifully packaged and I am sure will become a treasured possession to add to all the other little treasures P has given us over time.

it makes me wonder why some of you are on here.most of the people on this site seem to hate Prince.nothing he does is good enough for u people.

It's like Madonna's Sex book. That's crap as well, but you buy these things because they're the thing to have right now; buying into the hype I guess. Prince's book is on a smaller scale of course, because back in 1992, everybody seemed to want a copy of Sex and it sold out almost instantly. Copies of 21 Nights are still sat on the shelves in my local WHSmith.

I've thumbed through the book possibly half a dozen times at most. I've listened to the CD much more than that and lost count.

It's a Prince folly and that's cool. For me it was a £25 folly, but I'm enjoying the CD enormously.
Would I have liked backstage shots? Piccies of the stage set-up? In-concert photos? Of course I would. But I kinda already knew what I was getting when I parted with my cash and I've just accepted it as another Prince product that follows his quirks and sticks a middle-finger/two fingers* up to what anybody else wanted from it.

It's an arty-farty book with a (I think) decent live CD in it. I think we all knew that's what it was going to be from the moment it was announced. And if any fan says any different, then I really can't believe that they haven't learnt from Prince and his 'creative' decisions after all these years. And if those fans bought it and are disappointed with it, then you really shouldn't keep sticking your wet finger into the live plug socket.

was prince worried by the press speculation that he was doin both those young twins and wanted a mythical girlfriend? wierd!

She probably escaped the hotel and did a runner before her real identity was wiped off the internet/real world forever! much like every other female in co-existance with prince.

I also think its a shame that randee has been so promoted by prince when in actual fact the retouching etc which is the most of what makes a good photo these days was done elsewhere, not by her.

So Prince can I come take pics of you in your hotel rooms? I can do a bit of retouching myself! you wont have the extra expense of using an outside firm!

havin said all that I still like the book in its entirity and think that in 20 years when Im old I will discovour it in my loft or whatever and smile when I look through it and remember the good ole days at the 02 while listening to the tracks on the cd!
