Purple Rain parody by Christion ( ex-Rocafella group) Check it out, it´s hilarious ! While googling the mid 90s Rocafella group Christion I found this funny little video that they did for their song "Let´em know". They were kinda hot for a minute in 1997 but somehow disappeared soon after. I think that group is one of the most underrated groups ever, that album was tight ! I´m looking for their Ghetto Cyrano album because I really slept on it back when it came out and haven´t seen it again anywhere eversince. Wonder how Prince and his camp felt about this video when it came out.

I think I will rename this thread.If this were about Prince´s butt or hairdo there would be much more going on in this thread. I totally agree. Never heard of this group. How did u come upon this video? I was cracking up

True, they are a bit silly in that particular video but those guys were really talented. Here´s another video of them , the song is called Full of Smoke, and their singing reminds me a lot of Marvin Gaye. Thanks 4 sharing They were one of the first groups on Jay-Z´s RocaFella label, and they were very promising in the beginning. Guess Jigga didn´t have enough clout to promote them right back then.His own debut album also didn´t do that well back then even though it´s my favorite Jay-Z album (Reasonable Doubt). This group came out in 1997, a year after Jay-Z´s Reasonable Doubt debut. They were really cool and I was looking for some of their videos on YouTube, and there I discovered this little gem.Really funny video, I think. They must be really into Prince to know all those details about the Purple Rain movie. Rapper Common also references that movie a lot in his music, some of the dialogues and all.
