Joy In Repetition - ONA, whose SEEN the performance LIVE? Okay, one of my favorite Prince guitar performances was Prince doing Joy In Repitition live on the ONA live cd - that shit rocked big time! Next to Just My Imagination, that was one of my favorite all time live Prince guitar pieces. How many of you have actually SEEN him playing THAT particlar version of J.I.R live from that particular concert?? Seriously, it ROCKS!!!
It's an amazing visual piece. I seem to have collected 2 audience videos from the napster from back in the day, of that 1 particular concert. Only 3/4's from each.... but as i've just discovered (all these years later), edited together, that is the COMPLETE video of the ONA live version... its an amazing piece of history. Shakey crowd-cam video, but mixed together just right, you see that legendary performance fucking just GO OFF!!!! But sadly for me, i've never heard The War... man, what i would do for a copy... I believe in the Prince philosophy from the mid 90's... free the music... Org. [Edited 10/9/08 7:25am]

I've absolutely love this version as well....I didn't witness this live however...but truth be told someone would have had to peel me off of him because he placed some serious stank on that guitar that nite! "A Man Can't Ride Your Back Unless It's Bent" MLK 4/3/68

i was there ..all i got 2 say is ...THANK GOD 4 VINCE MCMAHON AND THE WORLD WRESTLING FEDERATION ...cause if it wasn't 4 vince, i wouldn't have known where the venue was when prince announced it during the soundcheck.
that whole day, the soundcheck, the main show and the aftershow kicked nyc's ass that day. and when alicia keys came out 2 sing "how come u don't call me anymore" and then hugged prince was a sweet moment. prince also granted my wish that night by per4ming a FULL LENGTH version of The everlasting now man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Prince at his best, of all the shows i have seen, this day of soundcheck, concert and aftershow it was his greatest musicianship. I was right in the front for this aftershow, and it was Prince's greatest solo and performance EVER, of all 75 times i have seen him, nothing will top this performance. There is video footage that exists from this show too "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F
