Sacrifice of Victor was an awesome book, definitely.
I really like the new 21 Nights too.

the only thing i like more about 'Sacrifice of Victor' is that there is more of a emphasis on Prince and less about the supporting team.

but i dont think Prince has ever put out anything of such high quality.

then again, i only have a paperback copy of "SOV", the hard covers are really expensive!

ya know...it's crazy! I've never seen that book.

Where did people get it? Did you have to order it from 1-800-NEW-FUNK or from Prince's store in Minneapolis? At the time, I looked for it in a couple bookstores and tried to order it, but couldn't.

Wow, I forgot about this book and have to pull it out. This was really cool and I also like the pic of P being chased down the street by fans. I remember the HC selling for $40.00 and the SCover selling for $20.00 ( that's the one I have) from 800 new funk. This was during the clearance sale and I bought posters for $5.00 each and the NPG jersey for $10.00.

The 2 standouts for me were the one where he is sitting in his dressing room in front of the mirror looking at it and all the different make up in front of him on the table and the other of him on a street at night leaning up against a pole. I have mine. The pictures were really well done. Just can't stand that AWFUL typhoon--brotha's hair was gettin' too long to wear it that way.

I'd like to have this book...maybe one day.

I have "21 Nights" now, and I'm gonna leave it out...The Prince in Hawaii book is in the circle.

Amazon is getting ridiculous with their Prices, it's only because the books hard to find. Glad I've got all the pictures.

Got mine in MINT condition last year for a bargain price on ebay - so it's worth keeping your eyes peeled. I it, it's a gorgeous book and well worth hunting down.

There are one liner sentences with each picture, it also has the epilogue like at the end of the 3 Chains of Gold video about him changing his name, and then a short story about the photographer who was hired to take the pics. P.S. - I loved the "do"!!!
