i think london gave him a lot of love in the late 80s when america wasn't quite feeling the love for what he was doing at the time. as for now, though, i think he's just following up from last year's 21 nights in london stint, which was a long time coming after a bunch of shows in the states.

Maybe the same reason Miles loved Paris. "The first time I saw the cover of Dirty Mind in the early 80s I thought, 'Is this some drag queen ripping on Freddie Prinze?'" - Some guy on The Gear Page

Because we really appreciate him in London (this country) He seemed genuinely moved by the response he got last summer, 'So much soul, London', 'Funky London', 'The summer that changed everything'. Just look at his face on the pic that was taken as he ran his hands along the railings where some fans were standing, after the last aftershow..... 'We LOVE you so much, London' I think he just likes the 'vibe' here...

Prince loves European audiences because they love him. He's treated like royalty there. Many American artist from movie stars to rock stars have Long since been better received overseas. They don't have the racial prejudices that exsist here for Blacks, never have. I would Love to go there sometime in my life. [Edited 9/30/08 15:24pm]

I think he loves London because we understand and appreciate his sense of style and don't tend to call him names just for being himself. London can be a very acceptive place for all types, all nations everyone !!!

Eh there is a picture of that ??? I was there I don't remember no one photographing it ? are you sure - that was the last night - unless he did it another night - I do remember one night he drove away in his car and then came back right up to the fence and waved to us all - there were photographers there that night.

Because London is the best city in the world so, what is the answer 2 the question of U

obviously Prince has proven in the last few years that, wherever there's some $$$$$ to be made...he will make himself available..
don't forget..when asked in the late 90's how he feels about not selling records at the rate he once did..his answer was.. "Im #1 at the bank" I assume any city/private event/birthday party/gig only for rich folks in the hamptons..ect....that can keep him feeling "#1 at the bank" would be a lovely place to visit in Princeland.

Anyone else remember this? [Edited 10/1/08 8:23am]
