ok then, i guess this fits in2 the whole P lovin london and us brits theme as well as our xperiences with P... this was a private meeting with a very gracious and kind P at wembley conference centre in 1988 with members of the 'controversy' fanclub, P is sittin signing autographs, (i'm in the pic, anyone else out there who recognises themselves and that time ?!).
p.s. i think eileen murton is hidden behind us, she being about the same height as P !

That was the night of 12th September, not the final night.
It was a case of being in the exact spot at the exact time to see him - I've never been so happy to have been stood right at the back of a gigantic queue. I was standing right there next to the person who took the picture and it was a surprise. Out of nowhere there was a loud "YO!" and Prince appeared at the other side of the wire fence. It was a blink-and-you-miss-it event, but thankfully someone had the forethought to grab their camera and take a pic. Prince said he wouldn't be appearing at the aftershow that night, to which folks started shouting "C'mon, just join in and play guitar" along with a fair few "Pleeeease" requests. It was fun, and I have to say folks were respectful and there was minimal screaming and/or panty-wetting. As quick as he appeared, he turned on his black shiny heels, got into his car and drove off with Bria Valente sitting next to him in the backseat.
People charged up to the gate to catch a glimpse of him, but by that time he'd gone, and we'd snuck in further down the queue and taken their places.

I assume any city/private event/birthday party/gig only for rich folks in the hamptons..ect....that can keep him feeling "#1 at the bank"
