Favorite Prince song LIVE?

What is your favorite Prince song live? And from what tour?

Mine is When Doves Cry from the Purplr Rain Tour and 17 days from the Parade Tour. Those versions of those songs are just amazing.

I will never ever forget seeing the love sexy video for the first time.

And there was one bit of that concert that I would rewind and watch again over and over. It was just the most amazing musical piece of genius live performing I have ever witnessed and I just used to sit there and watch with my jaw to the floor and think, man that is just amazing.

And the bit I'm referring too, not a whole tune, but at the end of Sheila's drum solo, and the way the music built up, and up and UP, then BAM!!! breaking down into Head. And not just normal head, the most funked up version I ever heard, with the breaks at the beginning. When I heard Head on CD for the first time I never thought it could get any funkier, then I heard it live. Simply awesome , I still get goose bumps just thinking about it.

I do remember, "I would die 4 U," and "Baby I'm a star," from 1985...even with the hair going silver and the memory loss, these numbers were incredible.

Oh and one more. I could never take the place of your man from the Sing "O" The Times concert. When he gets up on the speaker and play that guitar solo, it's mind blowing!

Being a guitar freak, anyone where he absolutely rips an amazing solo is a fave of mine. Joy In Repetition, I wish i could here Just My Imagination (damn FLAC files), I would like to hear some more renditions of Fury, Purple Rain of course. Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad is fucking excellent, how he starts it up and extends it is just amazing. Non-guitar wise tho...

"Alright, enough of that tame shit! Who wants some head?!?!?"
chill..prince doesnt like men being front row, makes it hard to sing the ballads

Adore at the Northrop Theater in Minneapolis. I have it on CD but I could have been there live....I decided to go back a day early. I was in MPLS for the Celebration and I didn't get tickets for the concert. It was still a fun week though....

Tighten Up in Vegas is a blast

Purple Rain in Vegas is also very nice

Man.....there are a lot....The live version always has a special twist to them.

Question of you, Tokyo 1990

Life could be so nice, Cobo hall 1986, I actually love this whole concert.

I could never take the place of your man, especially the guitar part, 1987 outtake from the movie.

Annastesia, Dortmund 1988

etc. etc.

I saw live footage by Prince for the first time in January 1993, a recording of the Nude Tour, in Tokyo (Aug. 31st, 1990) and the opening song was 'Take me with U'. Will never forget that evening; right then I knew he was the best (a)live performer.
